When I first popped this game in, I had no idea what to expect and I was immediately drawn in by the way this game tells it’s story. It reminded me of a Stephen King film where you weren’t quite sure what supernatural powers were controlling things, but you knew there was something strange going on.
So as we continued to explore the world, we slowly uncovered what Alan Wake was experiencing and how everything tied together.
One of the most impressive features of Alan Wake is it’s creative combat system. Rather than just using a gun the entire time to shoot all the enemies, you had to manage exposing enemies to light in order to leave them vulnerable to your bullets. This was a very fun mechanic and made the combat system very enjoyable as well as visually stunning.
